Why You Should Never Ignore The Mouse On Your Property

by Norah Slieker

For many people who have never had a mouse problem, mice can be seen as quite cute and cuddly little creatures, who have popped up in many animated movies as friendly creatures who wouldn't hurt a fly. While that certainly has helped reinvent their image on a wider public scale, that does not mean that actual mice are as nice as that, and in fact, they remain a huge pest that you should always get help with. Here are a few reasons why you should never ignore a mouse you see on your property.

If You See One, There Is Likely A Dozen More

Mice seldom operate on their own and often work together in large packs. Not only is there safety in numbers for them as small creatures, but they can be quite social too. The problem is that they are very good at hiding, and so if you do see one, then that almost always indicates that there are a dozen more nearby that you cannot see. While one might seem cute, an infestation of mice beneath your floorboards is decidedly less so, which is why every mice control agent in the country would suggest you act quickly before you start seeing evidence of a larger group.

They Are Destructive

Even if they do seem quite cute and cuddly, mice can and do ruin houses and agricultural areas with their insatiable hunger. They are bigger than many other types of pests that you commonly think of, so they are able to do much more damage to your house. Not only can they gnaw through wood but they have been known to chew on electrical cables and will look for scraps of food wherever they can find some, which will take them all over your home. It is not a nice feeling to wake up to the sound of mice rummaging through your belongings.

They Carry Disease

Everyone is much more aware of just how possible the transmission of disease is from animals to humans after the COVID pandemic, and mice are no exception. They often carry quite a lot of diseases that can affect you but often will affect your pets more, as they are likely to eat the rogue mice. Mice control is a staple of any good pest control agent so if you even think you have mice on your property, do not hesitate to pick up the phone.

About Me

Learning About Natural Pest Control

Hey everyone, my name is Silas. With two allergy prone children, I had to find natural ways to keep bugs from infiltrating our home. In this area, bugs tend to come into the house in droves as soon as the outdoor temperatures drop. When that happens, I'm forced to treat common areas to kill the bugs and keep them from growing in number. I want to share all of the natural pest control techniques I used to keep bugs out of our house. I will also talk about gentle commercial options available for heavy infestations. I hope you will visit my site on a regular basis to learn more.
